Beautiful valley with incredible waterfall walk. We arranged this trip with a private car and driverโฆ You do not have to use โorganised tripsโ if your preference is to avoid groups.
The road up the valley provides outstanding views and there are several places to stop . The restaurants in the river are colourful and different. 3 course Lunch at one of these restaurants averages 10 euros but you can get good a lot cheaper. Toilets good standard in the better restaurants.
The walk to the waterfall is on uneven ground but well worth the trip .
This is a decent outing from Marrakech. Especially if you have spent few days in Morocco already, Ourika gives a very good break from the Medinas and into beautiful nature. Part of the tour will take you into Berber village, then to the waterfall and the camel ride is included
Loved the valley, looks beautiful and peaceful, lost in time.
We went for a trek up the mountain to the waterfall and loved it, we had a good, helpful guide who helped people who found some parts of the trek difficult, giving them a hand up.
Our local guide picked us up from our hotel and we walked into the valley. We passed an area where a villager was drying salt in the sun and then up into the forest. After a couple of hours we arrived at a small village where one of the local familyโs provided us with a lovely chicken tagine lunch. After lunch we returned to our hotel by a different route. A great day out but you need to have good walking shoes and be reasonably fit
